According to Ozzy they were in a room practicing the blues as they were going to be a blues band. Accross the street was a movie theater. One of them commented ” Isn’t it crazy how people pay to see a scary movie”

Paying money for someone to scare you.

Then they thought what if we made scary music, and the rest as they say is history.

Introducing Laura Cox – talented, young and sexy

I stumbled across Laura’s early videos on YouTube quite some time ago. I have to admit I only watched because she was a pretty young French girl that wasn’t a half bad guitar player.

I have to say though she has come a long way and is now quite a hot Guitarist in her own right.The lighting is not the best in this video. A lot of the commentators on her YouTube channel seem to hear a Slash influence in her music. What do you think?

He starts of playing around with the volume to make an eerie whiny sound then gets in to some pretty cool slow (Awesome) playing.
I like the Riff at 1:58 to 2:01 reminds me of a Gary Moore Riff.

Back in my day just playing the intro to “Stairway to Heaven” used to impress the girls.

I think today you want something you can play and sing along with. Don’t worry if you can’t sing so good, if you ham it up everyone will join in and you will seem like the life of the party. Which is after all what Chicks want, an Alpha guy, in control, fun to be with, exciting, a leader.
Try 7 these on for size . . .

  • Foo fighters- everlong
  • The verve- the drugs don’t work
  • Razolight- golden touch
  • Coldplay- fix you
  • Coldplay- yellow
  • White stripes- I just don’t know what to do with myself
  • The La’s- there she goes

Okay so that’s 8 the next 2 really depend on the type of girl you are after. If she’s a rocker then any blues or Rock song. Is she an ex punk? arty? a romantic or a wild child out for a good time not a long time. Find something that fits her style or the occasion. Chicks like an extrovert (show off) confident type.

As long as you aren’t acting like a douche and you are having fun, it’ll happen.
